Do I have to have shots??

I am traveling to Asia in a few months (Japan and Philippines). Do I have to have any shots for prevention of diseases caused by bugs or something else?? Please tell me the link of a website that states things like this. ~Thanks

  1. Inoculations are not required for entry into Japan.

    The Philippines requirement states:

    HEALTH REGULATIONS

    A certificate of vaccination against yellow fever is required for travelers coming from infected areas. Children less than one year old are exempted but may be subject to isolation when necessary.

    If your are planning to enter any other countries, it would be best to check with the Bureau of Tourism for each country you are visiting.


  2. Japan, no...The Philippines, maybe...Depends on what areas you're going to.

  3. I'm sure you don't need to get shots to Japan, but I suggest you do for the Phillippines. Shots for malaria and stuff like that. Just ask this question to your doctor and he/she will give you all the shots that you need.

  4. Go to the URL shown below.It is the CDC's and details by country what is recommended for the country. Look at both Japan and the Philippines.

    What you need depends on what you are current on. Many people do not keep current on typhoid and tetanus, just to mention two.
