Do I have to know how to sing?

I want to become a huge actress and I've heard from my parents that you have to have the 3 deal package (acting, singing, and dancing). Is this true? Just to be an actor do I have to sing and dance?

What will happen if I'm good at one and bad at the other

Well if you're not planning on going down the singing road, then you don't have to know how to.  Just focus on what you do best, acting.  Many famous actors aren't able to sing, I could make a huge list of them!  

So the bottom line is, no... you don't have to sing and dance unless you are going into musical theatre.

I have a similar situation. My dream is to become a singer, but I can't really act or dance professionally. I sing every day, and I love to do it. I don't think you need all 3, it is just an added bonus if you can I guess. Do what you love, and love doing it. Train in what you love, and pursue your dream, no matter if it is hard or scary at times. Just keep your head up, and your heart in what you do. I wish you luck girly!

You should get a degree in Theatre or music. That's what I did and they gave me a job playing for a famous singers funeral. The music/theatre business is often rigged. just watch yourself and get some experience.
