  1. Yes, in general.  If however your case is dismissed, you will also be saved the court costs.  In most places, court costs are assessed whether or not an actual trial is held.


  2. Disputing a speeding ticket is a tough one.  If you weren't speeding you won't pay costs.  If you were, you bet you'll have to.  If you were speeding on the UBC grounds, you will lose.  

    Pay the ticket.

  3. Probably not. At least not in the USA. Not directly anyways. You pay for it through your taxes.

  4. Here in the USA you have to pay if you lose. I would imagine it is the same there.

  5. If you lose the case then you have to pay. Make sure you have a strong case first by taking legal advice.
