  1. Itunes is free at apple.com

Just open itunes, put your cds in the computer and import the songs.

Change the import default, first, from aac to mp3, though.  In itunes go to edit/preferences/advanced/import and change from aac to mp3

This way all your songs will import as mp3s instead of aac.  Mp3s are used with every program.  Aac files are not.

Once they are in itunes you can add them to your ipod.

  2. no itunes is free and all it's features are as well

the only thing you have to pay for is if you want to buy music in the itunes store

  3. You can go to http://convertersoft.net to download a converter.

I personally use ultimate DVD + Video converter suite.

    It works very well

  4. noooo... if u have a CD, put it in, and itune will put in left corner, it should ask u if u want to copy to ur ITUNE,  just yes, and all of them will be in ur library, next just drag the song to ipod!
