  1. Absolutely.  You must pay for it as cargo unless, it is small enough to fit in a crate under your seat. Maybe you can  pay for it to have it's own seat and have the crate sitting on that.  What kind of dog are you getting???

  2. Call the airline and ask.

I'm pretty certain that either way you bring the dog with you, either in cargo or in the cabin, you have to pay.

Smaller dogs are often allowed in the cabin, but they have to fit comfortably in a carrier that fits under the seat in front of you.

  3. Yes you would have to pay for the dog to be shipped by air.  You need to call the air line themselves and see what their policy is on having a dog in the cabin with you.  They may have restrictions as far as weight of the dog and what type of carrier is need to do so.

Call the air lines and find out for sure ok.

  4. Every airline has different policies and prices...yes prices you will need to pay whether the dog flies as cargo or as excess baggage in the cabin (if small enough and in an airline approved carrier under the seat where it must stay)

Contact the airline you are using as you will need to book the dog prior to you arriving at the airport with it as only a certain number of live cargo is allowed on each flight - they will be able to answer all your questions.

    Added:

It is not advisable to sedate dogs prior to flying them and hasn't been recommended by knowledgable vets for years

  5. re: the person who says there is no Air in the luggage compartment is very wrong.  It is climate controled.  You need to make sure that you have all the necessary papers and health certificates.  Sometimes you have to have given the rabies shot 30 days before flying so pay attention to those details.

Contact the airline directly and see what their rules are - you need to reserve space in advance - don't just show up and expect it to be ok.

DO NOT sedate your animal - they will be fine.  You have to provide a specific size crate based on the size of your dog and they need to have a water dish attached to the door. (I think food too)

  6. Yes you do.  I used to travel with my pets all the time.  You have to sedate them, and there is no air conditioning in the luggage department, which is where your beloved pet will be while your cozy in your cabin.

It's not advisable in these times.

Luggage handlers often are cruel to your pets.  There have been cases where the handlers just open the cages and let them out. and then, bye bye beloved one.

    Other options are advised.

I know this from personal experience.

    Good luck to you.

  7. I Think So Yes Because Dogs Arent Allowed to Go With You in The Airplane its Self. It has to Go in The Pets Section. So Im Afraid Yes :S:S You have to pay for Cargo But it wont be Alot.

  8. Have you not heard of the old saying "a fool and their money are soon parted"?  You are throwing your $$ away on a dog that will never come to this country because for your information they eat dogs in Korea and they are considered a delicatecy.

  9. smaller (very small dogs) can go on with you, im pretty sure that you still have to pay for cargo.

oh yea service dogs can go on
