Question:

Do I have to prune my Poodle Hibiscus tree?

We have two Poodle Hibiscus trees in our backyard, planted about a month ago, one is doing really well, while the other is turning yellow and losing its leaves and not really branching out.........Should I prune it? Shape it up a bit? Add something to the soil?

Any ideas would be great!

  1. I would first check for mites or aphids..........

  2. Since you planted in the summer it could be lacking enough water.  Water it regularly and see what happens.  Don't prune them until early next spring before any buds emerge.
