Do I have to renew my residence visa in Abu Dhabi if I will renew my Philippine passport?

I intend to apply for a US tourist visa and one of the requirements is that my passport should be valid for at least 6 months after the intended visit in the US (which is December 25, 2008). My passport expires on the 6th of May 2009. Thus, I need to have it renewed. The thing is, my residence visa in Abu Dhabi will state my old passport number. Does that mean I have to renew my residence visa as well?

  1. No you don't. as long as your visa is valid you just have to carry two passports. That's all.
