Do I have to report to work during the worst part of a tropical storm?

I live in Miami, Fl. I work at the airport at night. I start at 9pm and that is around the time were the weather should start to worsen. Do i still have to report to work or get in trouble for not coming in,

No, but make sure that you at least call your boss to tell him or her.

Call and ask if they are closing the airport.  If they tell you that no one should come to work because the airport is closed, then you do not have to go to work.
