  1. The tourist card is NOT FREE IN FACT IS NOW AROUND $30USD

IF YOU FLY IT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR FARE

if YOU FLY THEY WILL GIVE YOU A TOURIST VISA FORM TO FILL OUT .  IF YOU MAKE A MISTAKE THE SAME FORMS ARE ALL OVER THE AIRPORTS

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PROVE ANYTHING MONETARY TO GET A TOURIST VISA .

THEY WERE GIVING 90 DAY VISAS IN HOPES OF GRABBING MILLIONS OF DOLLARS MAKING PEOPLE PAY FOR EXTENSIONS.

I DONT KNOW WHERE "HEARTY GETS HIS INFORMATION BUT HE IS MISINFORMING YOU

YOU CAN NOT RENEW A TOURIST VISA IN MEXICO YOU ARE REQUIRED TO EXIT THE COUNTRY FER A MINIMUM OF ONE DAY AND YOU CAN RETURN.

THERE IS NO PINK COPY OF AN FMT

it is a long form with a perforated portion for you and the other for la Migra

You are flying in from the Emirates you will find FMT visa forms at the airport in Mexico.

NO YOU WILL NOT BE ASKED ANYTHING AT ALL PERTAINING TO MONEY.

YOU WILL BE GREETED WITH A SMILE AND WHEN YOU FINISH WITH THE IMMIGRATION THEY WILL LIKELY SAY WELCOME TO MEXICO AND HAVE A GRET DAY

  2. Only time you have to show any kind of funds is when you apply for your FM3 or FM2 card ( immigration status to become citizen ) other than that they need , want and steal your $$$

  3. I'm not sure but my guess would be yes. Many people, citizens of Canada, USA, The EU, etc. qualify for a tourist visa for stays of up to 180 or 90 days depending on the country.

Given that Mexico doesn't see a lot of tourist traffic from India my guess would be that India is not on that list of countries whose citizens qualify for the simple tourist visa.

If you are talking about working in Mexico, you would need a Mexican company to sponsor you.

  4. All U.S. and Canadian citizens visiting Mexico for tourism or study for up to 180 days need a document, called a tourist card in English or FMT in Spanish, to enter and leave Mexico, The tourist card is free and may be obtained from Mexican consulates, Mexican tourism offices, Mexican border crossing points, and from most airlines serving Mexico. If you fly to Mexico, you must obtain your tourist card before boarding your flight; it cannot be obtained upon arrival at an airport in Mexico. The tourist card is issued upon presentation of proof of citizenship, such as a U.S. passport or a U.S. birth certificate, plus a photo I.D., such as a driver's license. Tourist cards are issued for up to 90 days with a single entry, or if you present proof of sufficient funds, for 180-days with multiple entries.

Upon entering Mexico, retain and safeguard the pink copy of your tourist card so you may surrender it to Mexican immigration when you depart. You must leave Mexico before your tourist card expires or you are subject to a fine. A tourist card for less than 180 days may be revalidated in Mexico by the Mexican immigration service (Direccion General de Servicios Migratorios).

As far as tourists from other countries - proof of sufficient funds likely will be requested.

  5. If you are Indian citizen holding an Indian passport you are required to request a Mexican Visa. The closest mexican consulate to the UAE is on Lebanon.

When requesting the visa you will be required to prove you have sufficient funds for your visit.

The visa process may take up to 35 days.
