Do I have to stay in my country while applying for my Skilled Migrant Australian visa?

I learned it takes more or less a year for its processing. I wish to accept a job from another country by next year though.

next year is around the corner, it all depends on where? and if you accept a contract from the new job? more than likely, you will not be able to break the contract? if you have a contract ,

it is of course up to you? how bad did you want to go to Australia?

if it is a skilled migrant, surely there is a date to abide by.......
