Question:

Do I have to take a blood test to move abroad to Abu Dhabi/UAE?

My Dad got offered a job in Abu Dhabi and we're all moving abroad from UK to Abu Dhabi soon.

My Dad had to take a medical examination to show if he was healthy enough to go. This included a blood test which showed any trace of alcohol/drugs in his system and whether his diabetes sugar level was stable etc. etc.

He passed.

I asked him and apparently we (being me and Mum) don't have to take the blood test its already sorted.

But if we're leaving the country to go Abu Dhabi don't we have to take blood tests as an entry requirement too?

  1. Dear Friend

Obviously, once you enter in the country, after completing the medical tests only your visa will stamped on passport if you are coming on residence visa (not required for visit visa).

This includes blood test for HIV and Hepatitis B (mandatory for all), XRay (only if you are working or student, no need for housewife), Vaccination (for few categories those working as office boys, pantry, kitchen etc).

Best of Luck & Welcome to Abu Dhabi/UAE

    Thx

Housewives have to do only the blood test.

The UAE does not accept blood tests made out of the country. Therefore you have to make it after you arrived.

I recommend the Al Noor Hospital. No vaccinations required.

    Welcome to Abu Dhabi!
