Do I have to take out the seeds of an eggplant?

I am making eggplant parm for the first time. I cut circles from a large eggplant and there are lots of seeds inside. Is it okay to leave the little seeds in or do I have to take them out? If so, how do I take them out? There are a lot of them. Thanks!
