Question:

Do I have what it takes to become a lawyer?

I am not the world's smartest person. In fact, in High School I made mostly C's. I do, however, have a very analytical mind and high regard for justice. My goal in life is to make a difference in people's lives and stand up for what is fair and right. If I can't pass the Bar or get into Law School, what are other careers that involve helping people?

  1. Lawyers rarely make a positive difference in people's lives and law is very much not about what is fair and right.  Those are wonderful things but they don't pay any money - law is very much about money.

Have you considered applying to the police or fire department?  Both professions make differences in people's lives and cops certain try to stand up for what's right.

  2. social work, less years in school, easier classes, but much less money
