I ordered a purse from a company two weeks ago. Now here it is two weeks later and they have sent the identical item again. Might I add it is worth about $1,000. Do I have to send it back?

  1. I doubt you have to legally send it back, but you might get charged twice.  Remember, Karma Karma.

  2. some companies will do that on purpose to double charge you.

  3. If you do not own it you have no legal right to it.

Contact the company, advise them of their shipping error they will most likely be happy to cover the cost of shipping it back.

  4. You probably can't be forced to send it back, but double check your credit card statements to make sure they didn't charge you twice.

I would hold onto the purse for at least a month or two (keep it in brand-new condition) so see if this whole thing blows over. If they do end up charging you for a 2nd one, or filing legal action to get it back, it will be much easier if you can just give back the purse than if you try to fight it.

  5. I don't know if it is technically legal to HAVE to send it back, but I do know it is both Morally and Ethically legal to send it back. Even though it is 1000 dollars, send it back.

And why would want a 1000-dollar purse in the first place?

  6. You technically don't have to do anything you don't want too. But you should. It's the right thing to do. You know this too.

  7. If you have any ounce of integrity or character you'll send it back.
