There are two answers to some, if not every question. Sometimes, when you ask an innocent question you might just receive an answer you expect so people try to play along and act nice.

If you ask someone if you look nice in a dress, he/she might not want to say no, you don’t, there will just tell you what you want to hear anyways. For example, the right answer to this question would be;

No, you don’t, although the dress is a little snug around the hips but we can just beautify it with this wrap and it will look even greater. Plus, its doing wonders for your cleavage.

On the other hand, whilst the person is telling you what they know you want to hear, in their minds, they’re like;

Yes, you do, in fact I saw you come out here and I felt like throwing up, I don’t know why, but yea, you look really terrible in that dress, especially in the middle. It looks like someone jammed a water balloon through a napkin or a ring.

That’s just how the world is. When you ask a question, always have it in mind that you get two response, one verbally and the other on the person’s mind.
