Do I look like I could be an actor?

Question

Please be honest, I'm a bit paranoid that I do not have the right look. People state that you have to look a certain way from what I hear. I really want to pursue acting. BTW I'm the male in the picture. Please give feedback.

there are a TON of acting jobs out there for totally dif people. looks dont matter. you do look like an actor though

Acting has barely ANYTHING to do with looks. It all depends on how well you can take a part and play it. If you can fit yourself into character, then you will be FINE.

The only time I can possibly think of not getting a part because of looks, is either if the directors feel that the way you look doesn't suit the part your auditioning for.

There is no 'one look' that an actor can have. You DON'T have to be attractive to be an actor.

Certainly a nice picture no matter. You could be equated to some of the $$$ guys in Rap, but LOOKS are not all it takes to make $$$.

   Your challenge, easy or not, is to make the effort to do what you'd most enjoy doing, for as long as it works for you.

   We all age, but in the craft, aging merely allows that one can no longer portray some characters, while sliding into viable roles in different age groups.

From what I was always taught, there isn't really a specific "look" for an actor. You just have to have the drive and love to act.

The look that directors and others talk about are usually in movie or play parts, and it's just for the specific character, y'know? So, it's nothing personal, they're just looking for that right person.

I'm an actor and I've been rejected more times than I have fingers for, but I've also gotten some really awesome roles because I'm determined and really love to act.

There is really no specific "look" that an actor has to have. There are certain characters who obviously have to be played by certain types of people (for example, you couldn't play Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof because he's a 50something Russian Jew), but if you have talent, you will get parts.

Eyebrows look a little thick. But you are very handsome. It all depends on what exactly they are looking for @ the moment. It is alot of being in the right place @ the right time.
