It vary from cl to cl currently so see your cls web page for more info. Later every cruise passenger regardles of destination will have to show theyre passport at embarkation and some cls have that rule implimated already. So see your cls homepage. Johan

If the cruise is departing from the US and before June 2009 you will not need a passport.

You will need two forms of ID though.

well it depends on where you live i live in the U.S.A and for me to get to the bhamas i need a passport

Yes, if you are traveling by air..

Some cruise companies allow you to travel without at least for a few more months.

But be careful.. if you get left behind.. you'll have to purchase emergency Passports to get back into the states.  (this just happened to a family in the bahama.. and I'm told it happens quite often.).

If you are an American citizen and are FLYING ...yes.  If you are taking a cruise ...No.. See site below.  Some cruise lines WANT all passengers to have passports...so it is wise to call and ask their policy.

YES you do.  Doesn't matter if your flying or taking a cruise.  All flights and cruises now require you to have passports.

If you need it right away you need to rush it which will cost you $160, but if you don't need it right away then you have to pay $100.

Make sure you have all your info up to date when applying for a passport or your process will be put on hold.

Also you can not make an appointment with a passport agency unless you have 14 days or less until your planned trip.

Regular $100 non rush passports take 4-6 weeks, and rush passports take 2-3 weeks.
