Do I need a UK study visa if I have Canadian and Polish citizenship (living in Canada)?

I am a Canadian and Polish citizen, living in Canada but will be going to graduate school in Scotland in September. The school is charging me international student fees because I haven't lived in Europe for the last three years. My question is, does my Polish citizenship mean I don't have to apply for a study visa for the UK? I know Canadians have to do so, but is my Polish passport all I need to be allowed to study in the UK? Even if I have not lived there in a while?

  1. Poland is apart of the EEA and thus its' citizens do not require a visa to study in the U.K.

However, you will need to show an acceptance letter from your university and prove that you can afford the tuition and living expenses before you will be lawfully admitted into the U.K.

  2. You can study in the UK without a visa if you have a Polish passport.
