I am actually flying into Senegal, but will travel by car to Gambia. I know I do not need a VISA for Senegal and if I were flying into Gambia I would need one, but do I need a Visa to travel between the two countries?

  1. US citizens need visas to enter The Gambia.

You can apply for a visa at http://www.gambiaembassy.us/

  2. I am sure the Gambian embassy can answer this better than anyone on YA can - given that you haven't told us under what passport you will be travelling.

  3. I would get one just to be safe.  I did some traveling to some Asian countries (flew to one, took a boat to another) and though I didn't need a visa to get into the country, I needed the visa to come back into the country after visiting the other one... it's weird, and I don't know why it worked like that...but fortunately I did get the visa so I didn't have to worry about it.  I would recommend it just to be safe.  Have a safe trip!
