Do I need a Visa to Travel to France for vacation and if so what kind, where do I get one, price, how long?

I'm goinng to France in Oct and need to know if I need a Visa. I'll be staying for 12 days with my wife. Where do I obtain one, how much does it cost, and how long does it take? Merci

All you need is a passport

It depends heavily on your nationality.  Many western nations benefit from being able to visit France for 3 months without getting a visa.  Other nationalities may require you go through a vigorous process without assurance that you will get your visa.  

You simply will have to check the website of the French embassy in you country.

If you both hold American passports, that is all you need for a visit up to 3 months.  Longer than that, and you need a Visa.  If you have passports from another country, check with your embassy.  Most embassies have online sites, where you can find out what you need.
