Do I need a bow case?

I am taking my bow to a local store to get it tuned. I am travelling by bus to get there. I am not taking any arrows with me. Just the bow, do I need a bow case or can I just take it liek that?

At least put it in a backpack.  Why go through the hassle of possibly getting kicked off the bus etc.

Actually a friend of mine walked about 2 miles from a tournament site back to his hotel with a strung bow and a quiver full of arrows, past a police station.  The officers gave him funny looks but it's a small enough town that they just let him be.

Your strings might get caught on something then you'll have more problems then just tuning along with all the crazies out there they might think you're a terrerist.

Yes you need a case, backpack, trash bag, SOMETHING or people will be stupid and think your up to something.:

But it would look cool if you just walked down the street holding it.

You need to transport it in a bow case, preferably a hard case- If you have a soft case, carry it on the bus with you . Even if in a hard case, I would hold it close.

I would never haul your bow around with out a case because so many things can happen to it. Also u may scare some people walking around with your bow even though you don't have any arrows w you people are crazy
