Do I need a camper to use an electric camp site?

THat might sound like a silly question to a regular camper, but I haven't went since I was a little girl so I didn't know if you could rent an electric site if you just have a tent, and use the electric for things like a lamp, electric griddle and such, or can just a camper hook up to the electric? Thanks!!

  1. You can use a tent in an electric sight if you wanted to.  We were just camping this last weekend (in a tent) and it was an electric sight and we just used it to listen to our radio.  Just to let you know, you will usually pay a little more for the electric sight but in our case it was the only one available.  Happy camping.

  2. I used an electric site many times with a tent. Check with the place you are going though. some have odd rules. also you may find yourself set up between two huge rvs. not tooo picturesque. I always take a Big extension cord because the power can be pretty far away even though its for your spot and they tend to be more weather proof. murphys law and all that. one more thing, I  found a small fan to be valuable for cooling off and blowing bugs away from my dinner. have fun
