Do I need a degree to enter Journalism?

I do not want to go to university but I have always fancied Journalism. Does it seem a potential career for me? and what sort of vacancy will I need to start off in.

The first requirement is you be liberal.

I should think a degree in Mass Communications or Journalism itself is a requisite these days. Unless you work from the menial jobs upward- which doesn't guarantee a career path!
