Do I need a dvd recorder to do this?

Hi,im a little stuck,I can put my camcorder footage on the laptop fine,I also edit using movie maker but how can I get this on a DVD,my laptop does not have a dvd burner thing so thats a no go,could I make the film on movie maker and transfer that back to the camera and then use a dvd recorder to put it on to a dvd disk?please help im well stuck ;-( x

try an external DVD burner if your laptop is only CD

Are u absolutely sure the laptop does not have dvd?

Your best bet is to get a USB external DVD burner. They're not very expensive.

i burn my dvds on nero express.  i actually burn onto cdr's which work in most dvd players.  if you have that try it.  if not try and download it off the net.  OR.... send it to me and i ll do it.  only joking

You might be able to do what you suggested, but probably not - EU tax regulations make it more expensive to sell a camcorder that can record from a  PC, so European models usually have that feature disabled.  What sort of camcorder is it?
