I recently bought a PS3 but do not have a Hi-Def television. My question is is it worth it to start buying Blu-Ray movies or will I not even be able to notice the difference on my "old-school" TV?

  1. if you have plan to buy HD TV, why not buy blu ray movies rather than DVDs or you might end up spending two times. If you dont have, just buy dvds.

  2. You won't see a difference on your standard definition TV. Standard DVDs are as good as your TV can display. Of course, don't take my word for it. Buy or rent one Blu-Ray disc and see for yourself.

  3. Yes you need a Hi-Def TV to benefit from your Blu-Ray player. That depends is it worth it to you to by them blu-ray disc, I would say more than likely yes it is cause sooner or later your gonna buy a Hi-Def TV anyway, may as well buy the blu-ray disc as well. I now have over 700 standard DVDs I waited till the hd-DVD and blu-ray war was selected and now it, is only bluray DVDs i buy. But in the end it's your choice.

  4. There's no point in playing Blu-ray movies/games without an HDTV. You need to get one.

  5. yes
