Question:

Do I need a license / permit to SELL Biodiesel?

I have trawled the Enviroment Agency's website, and many others, but i cant find any information.

I want to open a Biodiesel Filling Station, i have no intention of making it, i just want to buy it in and sell it, like every other petrol station in the UK.

I can find info stating i need a PPC from the EAgency, but it seems to only relate to those who make it as well as sell it!

Please, please help, im going crazy over this!

Many thanks in advance - kind regards Rosie

  1. try the dti? i'm sure you will need all the same permits, safety stuff etc as for regular diesel.

  2. Yes. The government wants a piece of the pie.

    My 2 cents

  3. I would follow the contact information on the Environmental Agency's website and give them a call.  The legislation and regulations on this are changing almost daily.

You might also want to contact the Biodiesel Board or equivalent in the UK and ask them.
