Do I need a lock for my snowboard?

I just bought a brand new snowboard and i'm gonna start going to a ski resort to snowboard and I was wondering if I need a lock to lock my snowboard with when i'm in the lodge or somewhere I can't take it. I don't want somebody to steal my new board.

I would highly suggest a lock, it is a small investment for your big investment...would you put an alarm on a car with a super awesome stereo?  I live in colorado, have had two boards stolen from me in 6 years, my buddies have had boards stolen from them and I hear about it all the time and occasionally see people going...."dude, where the f((( is my board..." something that would be super bumming to have happen, I know I was...  Da Kine makes a super small but strong lock that you can carry in your pocket and you wont even notice it and it is only 18 bucks...  18 compared to....new board and binders...  :) happy riding!!

you can buy a lock from any shop but snowboards are heardly ever stolen and depending on what mount you go to some have storage
