Do I need a magic memory stick for custom firmware on psp?

I have a psp fat, and have a pandora battery, I want to know if you can use a regular memory card to put downloaded games on, or do I have to use a magic memory stick only?

  1. XD english!!!!! Yeah you can use regular assuming u already have cfw. Just format the memory card after getting cfw, and put the psp isos in the iso folder. Eazy right?

  2. you need a magic memory stick for the dowgrading process. once you are on custom firmware, you can use a normal memory stick

  3. if your psp is already downgraded the you can run games or homebrew on it via a regular memory stick you will know that it is downgraded when in the system information on the psp says  ex. 3.71 m33, 3.71 Hen , 3.40 oe,  or since you have a phat 1.50.
