Do I need a new central a/c unit?

Question

with the freon being injected inline for 30mins, the temperature difference outside coolant line and inside the apartment return cooled air is greater than 18 degrees and difference is not narrowing, what is wrong, the compressor is still running. How can I fix this problem without buying a new central a/c?

Call a repair tech to check your system. You may a several problems or a leak in a non-repairable place. If he says it would be cheaper to replace than to repair, do so. Don't ask him. Let him tell you that.

HVAC Tech.:  PATIENCE, You don't say how large a space you are trying to cool. I would not expect a lot to happen in only 30 min. I would suggest you call a service technician to check your system. You describe the problem in a way that makes no scents to me. Who or what is "injecting" freon "in-line"???? Obviously you need a professionals help.Good Luck!!

The problem is you have no ideal about what you are doing, if it was sooooooo  easy to fix an a/c system why did i spend so many years in school and training!
