I'm a U.S. citizen traveling to Quito, Ecuador....Do I need my passport or visa or what?

  1. Yes, a valid U.S. passport is required to enter and depart Ecuador.


  2. No visa required for stays that are shorter than 90 days.  Your passport must be valid for 6 months past your intended departure date.  If you are arriving from a location that is infected with yellow fever, you'll need a vaccination card.  If you're flying from the states for a short trip, your passport is good enough (make sure you have a couple of blank pages for them to stamp).  

    Also be prepared to pay an exit fee at the airport when you leave.  I believe that is just about $41.

  3. Not yet but they are working on it,your valid passport is good enough for up to 90 days.
