Do I need a passport for my cruise?

I am 13 and planning on going on a cruise. I don't have a passport. Can I still cruise to bermuda/mexico/the caribbian?

You may not legally need a passport but most cruise lines now days insist on a passport as a means of identification before they allow you to board the ship. Contact the cruise line and confirm their policy to be sure.

I've have been on a cruise and at some stops before we could get off we had to show our passport so go get one as soon as possible because they take awhile to get in

I don't think that u need a passport i went on a fairer i think that the same as a cruise if so i never needed to have a passport..

They highly reccomend getting one but I took a cruise to Cozumel/Grand Caymans and I just had my birth certificate with me.  I was 23 at the time of my trip.  i would get one.  If there is an issue while you are traveling, they might not let you into the country w/o a passport

It depends on where the departure port is and where you'll be cruising to.

If you're sailing internationally you will NEED a passport.

And you should do it ASAP, b/c it takes about 6 weeks to for the paperwork to process and for them to issue and mail it to you.
