Do I need a passport?

I'm a Canadian citizen planning on travelling to Chicago on Labor Day weekend.

  1. The correct answer is that if you are FLYING from Canada to the U.S. you must have a passport.  If you are travel ling by land, you need a birth certificate and photo I.D.  See site below.

  3. If you are flying, you need a passport.  

    Next year, you will need a passport to enter the US by land, though that may depend on who wins the US election in November.  Now, you will need proof of Canadian citizenship and picture ID.

    You may be able to get a passport, it you don't have one, if you move fast and take your application to a passport office.  A mailed application will take too long.

    Suggestion:  Get a passport and use it any time you are out of the country.

  5. No. Just bring whatever Canadian ID you have, & your Birth Certificate- & you should be alright... NEXT Year You're going to need a Passport, though... Have a Nice trip.. -& WELCOME to the States !!!  :)
