  1. Yes, now you do.  


  2. The law were you have to carry a passport was supposed to take effect January of this year, but it was cancelled until 2009. It's not mandatory, but strongly suggested.

  3. No. All you need is ID in the form of a drivers license.

    But be nice to the border guards. They are VERY sensitive!

    Passport by car/land/sea will be required starting June 2009.

  6. Passports for LAND travel between Canada and the uUS. will not be needed until June 2009.  See sight below to read the law for yourself.  Right now, you need a birth certificate and a photo I.D. When you do have a passport, you do not need additional I.D. with it, a passport alone is sufficient.
