We aren't planning on setting anything up...just walking out on the beach with a bunch of family members and minister. Do we need a permit to do this? Also, any suggestions on a beautiful beach near miami all the way down through the keys? Thanks!!

  1. i'm am 99.9% sure that you do. it's a public place, just like a park or a venue that you would need to get a permit. On "who's wedding is it anyway?" the couple wanted a beach wedding. it's pretty obvious when you do have it so cops will most likely be there! they had to have a permit and get it a month or two before hand... i would DEFINETELY have it to be safe, if you don't need it, then at least have a paper on you saying that you didn't need a permit incase a cop does want to butt in while you're setting up chairs on a public beach....

  2. You can probably get away without a permit, but I would double check.

  3. Hi.  Check with the CITY that the beach is located in.  Some you do....some you don't.  Best to check first though.  Once you find a location....then call the city parks and recreation department (or go on the city website) to inquire.
