Do I need a plug/voltage adapter for a two prong plug in Costa Rica?

Question

The only thing I will need to plug in is a camera battery charger with 2 prongs. It says AC100-240V 50/60 Hz.

Do I need a plug adapter? What about a voltage converter?

I am staying in some residence-type places.

An international US adapter for power is unnecessary since the voltage in the whole country is 110.

You don't need a plug adapter.

US plugs are fine in Costa Rica. Since the new building code of 2006, all plugs are required to be grounded, and even before that, most were already grounded. Voltage is 110, and you'll only need a plug adapter if you're staying in a really old building that has just flat prongs. If not, you're fine.

You sure don't....Not all plugs here have the wider ground tong....You may want to bring an adapter just in case the place you're staying at has the older plugs....
