Do I need a power adapter in Mexico?

I'm going to Mexico next week and want to make sure I'll be able to plug in electronics.

  1. If you're coming from USA, you don't need any adapter. Both countrys use the same voltage.


  2. it depends where you are staying, you do not need one in a resort, or possibly hotel. I would call the place you are staying to make sure!!!

  3. Are you coming from Europe?

    Yes you'll need one, just as if you are buying one to travel to the U.S.

    Do not worry about the voltage, almost ALL electric appliances work in a range from 127 to 220V.

  4. Electricity in Mexico is 127 Volts, alternating at 60 cycles per second. If you travel to Mexico with a device that does not accept 127 Volts at 60 Hertz, you will need a voltage converter.
