Do I need a prescription to buy Benadryl?

I want to buy benadryl from CVS to help me sleep, for anxiety and for recreational purposes. Do I need a prescription to buy it? I have prescriptions for other medications like seroquel from my doctor. I need to buy benadryl. I took it before when I was in the hospital. I know how it makes me feel and I know what dose to use to help me sleep.

No u don't need a prescription but u need to make sure it wont cause any reactions with any prescription meds you are on. you should do this with any OTC meds

If you're doing it for recreational purposes, though, make sure there's absolutely nothing in it but diphenhydramine.
