Do I need a printer for university?

I am thinking if I should get a printer for university in my dorm room. I know there's one in the library, I am just wondering how much I will need it in my room. Thanks

You will need it PLENTY.  Invest in it and tell your roommate "hands off".  lol.  

Also, check to see if your dorm has a computer lab.  Most do and have printers as well, however, they have a limit.

I've never needed one, but that's because I just email my papers to myself and then print my papers in the computer lab, which is in the same building as the dining hall. I eat breakfast, then print my papers, then go to my classes.

The real answer is that it depends on where the computer lab is located and if you would rather pay for your own printer AND the toner cartridges for it or walk to the computer lab and print out a paper before your class. If your campus is small or if the computer lab is close to your dorm room, than you shouldn't bother with buying a printer. If I were you, I would go to school without one but with the money for one and see if you get annoyed using the computer lab or not. If you get annoyed with walking there, buy a printer. If you don't mind going to the lab, use the money for something else.

get cheep one cuz ur but will not want to goto printer every tuime u print somethign plus they may charge and thats just stupid

Unless you want to keep running to the printers that everyone can use, I would suggest getting one.  You can get fairly cheap ones and it's worth it in the long run.  Way more convenient.

it would be helpful to have but if you can't get one then the library will be good enough!
