Do I need a router for my wireless laptop?

I'm thinking of getting a new wireless laptop. Do i need a router to get internet on my laptop, even though it's wireless? Please give me some hints and ideas. I'm confused

If you plan on using the internet connection you have with your new laptop, then yes, you do need to use a wireless router to broadcast your internet so that you can connect with your laptop.

You can get a good wireless router for about $40-50 so it shouldn't be much of a problem. If you need help setting it up, feel free to contact me.

no you just need dsl.

your wifi on the laptop should show you ALL the dsl within 200 feet of you computer.

Whether you piggyback on a neighbor's signal is up to you. ;)
