Do I need a router or a gateway from AT&T?

I just got a laptop and want to go wireless. I don't have any hookups right now.

  1. I have to agree with scott. Linksys is a great router it will work good for you, theres some cheaper router's out there but Linksys  is a good router that will last.


  2. Get a wireless router (Linksys WRT54G is a good option) from there it will wirelessly transmit your internet connection for use on your laptop

  3. We have AT&T DSL. They supply a router that is wifi enabled. Why buy your own when you can get free.
