Do I need a special modem to connect wirelessly to the internet?

I get internet service through a cable company. I have a Linksys wireless-G modem. Do I have to have a special modem from them to hook this up?

No you have wireless internet. You just need the CD they gave you to set up the wireless.

You would need a modem with a lan cable, most cable modems have this. Your router also requires a network cable connection to go to the mode, so you can NOT use a dsl one, which has a phone connection lead.

No, not really. As long as you still have the installation disk that came with your router, all you need is an Ethernet cable, and your good to go. Most likely, all you need to do is reconnect the other end of the Ethernet cable from your modem, to your wireless router, and run the installation disk you have. It should be very simple, and quick, and it definitely worth it.
