Do I need a stamp from USCIS before traveling?

My green card is expired but I have a paper from USCIS which say that my resident status is extended for a year. I'm going to be on a cruise to Bahamas soon, do I need to have a stamp in my passport before I go?"

I ADVICE YOU TO CHECK WITH USCIS  befor you leave so that you do not loss your status because sometimes this things have restriction on leaving the country for any reason
