  1. You need a PASS CARD-- it's the new thing for the caribbean and mexico-- but for what you pay for it, you might as well get the passport and be good to go anywhere.

  2. yes you will need a passport

  3. yep it's another country so you need a passport. you really do need it to - i went there and they checked it at the airport in the us before i coudl board the plane, then again in the airport at bahamas and again on my way back

  4. Many of the cruise lines are requiring passports even though the US say NO passport needed to cruise until next year.

Call your cruise line and find out what you need to cruise on their ships.

    Good Luck)

  5. The law does NOT require passport for Cribbean area cruises...will after June 2009. See site below for current info.  However, many cruise lines DO require all passengers to have a passport...so it is wise to CALL them and ask their policy.

  6. No passport depending on what cruiseline!!!  GL

  7. YES... you won't get on the cruise ship without one.  The only place in the Caribbean you can go to without a passport is Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgins.

I don't know where all these 'experts' on here get their information... it's obviously NOT from personal experience.  I live on Antigua WHICH IS IN THE CARIBBEAN and had to come back to the U.S. on business.. and I needed to show my PASSPORT to get into the U.S.

  8. Better to start the ball rolling now, the state dept is way behind
