I'm a Australian citizen.

I'm taking a plane from US to China, it stops at Canada for two hours for transit. I will not leave the airport.

Do I need to apply for a visa?

  1. i don't think you do. i went from canada to ghana and made transit at amsterdam for 7 hours. i did not leave the airport and i didn't need a visa for the transit.

  2. As long as you stay in the secured are of the airport, you will have no issues.

If you choose to leave the secured area, your passport and ticket voucher will provide any needed information should an issue arise.

  3. You can check by using the site below.  Just enter your nationality, transit point and destination and click for the info.
