just a holiday for 15 days visiting some family, do i need the visa on my Irish passport to enter the USA?

Ireland is part of the Visa Waiver Program with the United States.  If you are entering for pleasure, and have never violated any United States Immigration Law, you can enter the United States without a visa.  You will need a valid Irish PP, with machine readable area on the bio page. You will get a Green I-94 to fill out on the plane.  When you land, the CBPO will process you for a WT entry valid for 90 days.

  3. They will give you the paperwork to fill out on the plane. You will hand it over with your passport and immigration will staple it in and stamp it for you.
