Do I need a work permit during the summer?

I'll be starting school in August 25th and I know that I need a work permit when school starts. But do I still need one during the summer. I already got hired but I'm just wondering. I'm also 15 1/2 and I live in CA.

i dont think you do. i am fifteen and your lucky you have a job i am still trying to look for one.
