I am a US citizen, working for a US company, but I will temporarily be working with (not for) a customer in Japan. If I am there under 90 days, and still employed by and paid by the US company, do I need a work visa for Japan? Thanks.

  1. No you don't. You US citizen can enter to Japan with tourist visa instead.

  2. i don't think so. You are working and getting paid by the US company. You aren't working for a Japanese comapny so you should be fine. It just seems like you are going on a long buisness trip. But even if you do need a work visa.. your company should provide that for you.

  3. Yes i think you need.
