My BT wireless hub arrived today, and i can't seem to connect to my main computer. All the wires are in the right places, but when I put the BT CD in my computer, it says it cannot detect my adaptor or that my computer is not wireless enabled. Do I need to buy a special adaptor?

  1. You also need to make sure you have some kind of router on your home network.  If you are connecting more than one device to the Internet, all devices connected to the Internet in your home must pass through a router.  If you bought just the wireless access point and have no router, this might explain why.

Your computer needs to have a wireless device.  If you have a laptop less than 2 years old, it should have wireless built right in.

  2. yes your pc will require the use of some sort of wireless adopter either a usb one or a pci if this is a tower i recommend going with one installed to the pci
