  1. Unless they have an open call, yes, an agent would be the only way to get an audition, unless you have a huge amount of experience that would catch their eye in headshot/resume form.

Agents don't take just anybody. Look in your local yellow pages (or Yahoo! YP under your zip) and call for an appointment with their children-teen division. If they ask you to pay money, they are not a legitimate agency.

If you have no performing experience, they may just say to send in a few photos (don't send in group shots, send in representative pics of you-- ie pics that look like you actually look-- at least 5 x 7, and make sure one is a "headshot" style, mid-shoulders up. Scan your school photo into your computer so you can print out as many as you need). Include a sheet with your name, parents' names, telephone and email, age, height, weight, eye colour and and related skills you have (musical instruments, singing, martial arts, etc).

Unless you live in or near a big city, Disney isn't likely to come knocking at your agency's door, either, so if you are interested in acting, forget the Disney dream and get practical experience by taking drama and music classes at school, and auditioning for plays there and in the community.

  2. yup.

  3. Yes, you do.

Unless they have an open call which is unlikely.

  4. usually... if u can afford it it's a m,ust if not atleast get parent help.

  5. it seems like most people on Disney channel and nickelodeon have relatives that are or were famous and that is most likely how they got on TV
