Do I need both my parents permission if I'm travelling to Mexico?

I've heard that If I'm under 18 i need both my parents permission to travel, but i also read that for certain countries this is not needed, i'm from New Zealand but i don't know what rules apply for me?please help:)

  1. If you are a minor then you will need documentation and be accompanied by your guardian(s). Unless the rules have changed recently, then you do need at least one guardian that is listed on either court ordered custody papers or a birth certificate.


  2. I doubt both parents permission is necessary, there are too many single parent families now to make that a reasonable request. One though, would be, if you're a minor.

    You can check the Mexican embassy website if you're unsure.

  3. I believe its a Mexican policy that a minor needs "Notarized Written Permission" from both parents to travel to Mexico

  4. See site below and read the secton on MINORS under "ENtry Requirements. It is a Mexican law.

  5. yes u need a notarize letter from them and the place ur staying @ who is is going to pick u up a relative someone .
